I ran into Sen. Lou Correa at the annual Beach Cities Friends of the NRA dinner on Thursday and in kibitzing about the proposed sale of the Fairgrounds off the record, finally got him to go on the record with his "serious concerns" about approving the deal.  

Tuesday, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed landmark legislation that protects animal welfare and food safety.  

We told you here that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed off on selling the Orange County Fairgrounds to Costa Mesa but that the California Legislature's Latino caucus was still threatening to block the deal because of the city's stance on illegal immigrants.  

The only problem is that the story isn't exactly true.
